Tang, Hui

A traveling doctor, he is the adoptive brother of Zhi Li and was entrusted by her mother to one day take Zhi Li back to the palace. He is aware of Zhi Li's feelings for him, but does not feel the same way. Tan Hui starts to fall in love with Zhi Li, but backs down knowing she is better off with Zhong Lu.
