Sang Sang

Sang Sang is a girl that was found by Ning Que in a pile of corpses, many years ago. She is a servant of Ning Que, who although is formally her master, sees her as his closest friend and something akin to a family member. There may be some romantic feelings between the two, but it is unconfirmed. After spending a long time buried under the corpses she was infected by the "coldness" (best explanation given by translator is the negative/unhealthy energy from the dead bodies that seeped into her, something akin to miasma), she is constantly cold. Sang Sang also carries an umbrella that repels all sort of magical/regular (firebomb) attacks. Ning Que has used this umbrella throughout the series in battle, most notably to help him singlehandedly kill a practitioner. According to her master Ning Que, the only things that help her stay warm is constant physical exertion and strong alcohol.
