Open Field Studio

Open Field Studio was created by Tara Kurtzhals and Sarah Bollinger. They began working together as creative partners early in their college career, and through their years of experience developing projects as individuals and as a team, they have recognized common themes between both of their personal and narrative works: friendship, self-acceptance, and the challenging of gender roles as depicted in media. Our current webcomics are Knight and Beard, a medieval buddy comedy about two unlikely friends, and Girls Have A Blog, a catalogue of our lives in college and beyond.
