Massimo Fenati
Massimo Fenati was born in Genoa, Italy, but has lived in London, UK, since 1995. After a childhood spent on comics and picture books, Massimo thought that being a cartoonist wouldn't pay the bills and decided to become a product designer instead. But destiny didn't let him get away with it and Massimo saw his new career as a cartoonist start spontaneously, in 2005. Since then, Massimo's work in the field of illustration has produced a number of books, published in several countries and translated in 5 languages. His first works were series on a couple of penguins named Gus & Waldo. With the animation based on the Gus & Waldo books, he has won awards at the IRIS Animation Film Festival in Rio de Janeiro and at the Queersicht Film Festival in Berne. Massimo also produces motion graphics for TV programmes for BBC, Channel 4 and Sky. He creates album covers and editorial illustrations for a number of publications. His most recent work includes the design of the image and logo for the 2011 edition of the Turin International Film Festival, and the cartoon book '101 Uses For A Dead Meerkat'.
