XU Kennedy

Author Kennedy Xu, whose real name is Xu Lei, was born February 1982 in Jiashan, Zhejiang, China. Originally an international commerce tradesman, he spent his spare time reading horror and suspense novels. Soon, he decided to write his own suspense serial, "Dao Mu Bi Ji," in 2007. It was an immediate hit, with over 12 million books sold. Public demand for the series blossomed like mushrooms after a spring rain, with fans haranguing him to write new book after new book, and real grave robbers contacting him with corrections and suggestions.After eight volumes of The Grave Robbers' Chronicles, and numerous other original novel series under his belt, he took the pen name Nanpai Sanshu, or "Uncle Three," derived from a character in The Grave Robbers' Chronicles. By November 21, 2011, sales of Xu's work won the writer the Best Adventure Fiction award and made him the seventh richest writer in China.
